The furniture scheme paperback Project has arisen as the Furniture Scheme's response to the vast amount of unwanted books being sent to landfill.
We realised that we had the resources to recycle these books and that we could also benefit by receiving recycle credits from Shropshire County Council for the books that couldn't be sold and would therefore be recycled.
The Renaissance Centre is open six days a week and we hope to encourage people with unwanted books to bring them along to us.
We hope that this initiative will encourage even more people to visit our Renaissance Centre, thereby raising awareness to the benefits of reuse, recycling and sustainable lifestyles - and raising income to help sustain our collection and delivery service.
