Rockspring Community Centre

The Centre is staffed Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and hosts a number of clubs and activities. Private hires are also accommodated in the evenings until 9pm, we are unable to take bookings on a Sunday. N.B. The centre is not licensed to sell alcohol.

We have free WIFI, also projector, projector screen and flip chart available.

As well as the main hall, the Centre also has two smaller meeting rooms for hire, both with kitchen facilities, click on link or see Hiring Prices & Information below. Tea/coffee and a biscuit can be provided for 50p per person.

We have a computer suite with free access to computers and WiFi which are usually available Monday – Friday 9am – 4.30pm (excluding Wednesday mornings and Bank Holidays).

Rockspring runs successful Holiday Schemes for young people, with more than 80 youngsters registered to take part in activities. The Holiday Scheme programmes include sports, crafts, gardening, cookery, drama, orienteering, den making, bike rides, fun and games.

In addition to the young people we also host activities for people of all ages. Our aim is always to build confidence, encourage friendships and support people in any way we can to make the most of opportunities. We offer volunteer work placements and develop skills to help people seek out and secure employment.

We have an OFFICE TO LET at Rockspring Community Centre.

Rockspring Community Choir takes place on Wednesday evenings 7.15pm – 8.45pm. It doesn’t matter if you can’t read music or don’t have a fantastic voice, everyone is welcome! There is £3 sub.

Every Thursday we have a community lunch which is served at 12.15pm. Thursday Lunch is either home made soup, pasta with a sauce, baked potato with beans/cheese, fish pie or cottage pie and a slice of delicious home made cake for only £2 – all welcome.

Rockspring Community Garden is based here, and run a vegetable stall on Thursdays during the summer months. Everyone is welcome to come and work in the garden. Lunch is FREE for Community Garden volunteers.

Rockspring Community Centre hosts a range of activities and is available for private hire, meetings, children’s parties etc (at present we are no longer able to take bookings on a Sunday) facilities include:-

Parking for 20 cars
Kitchen facilities available including cooker, microwave, refrigerator, tea urn, crockery, cutlery etc
Main hall can seat 60 people - informal seating
Teme meeting room can seat approx 20 people (for hire 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday only)
Corve meeting room approx 10 people (for hire 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday only)
*Tea/coffee and a biscuit can be provided for 50p per person.
