Collecting and delivering furniture
We are currently recruiting volunteers for Tuesdays to help with our collections and deliveries around the South Shropshire District. Travel expenses, support and training is provided. You will need to be reasonably fit!

Craft making
Helping with the preparation work for the range of craft workshops that we provide to people of varying abilities throughout Shropshire. Also assisting people who have extra needs and/or attending shows and events across Shropshire.

Telephone answering
Providing an essential telephone service mornings or afternoons every weekday. 2-3 hour shifts making arrangements for furniture collections & deliveries.

Carpentry work
Carrying out a variety of tasks from stripping and polishing donated furniture to more challenging projects. Hours to suit, mornings, afternoons or all day to fit in with our current team.

Renaissance Centre & Church Stretton 'R Shop'
A range of opportunities general shop duties and informing people of the services
and opportunities at the South Shropshire Furniture Scheme.

Book Store
Sorting donated books, creating displays and assisting customers

Tea Room
Assistant - performing general duties in our busy tea room. Hours flexible.

Sorting Bedding
We find it extremely helpful to have a regular volunteer who sorts through the abundance of bedding, curtains and other donated household accessories and essentials. All materials are either reused or recycled. Hours to suit.

Computer Recycling
Working to refurbish or dismantle and recycle donated computers. Occasional assistance in the collection of IT equipment.
